Quick Update
My head is spinning because things have been so busy…but I want to quickly jot down some things…so bullet points are in order for my sanity.
-My brother is getting married in 12 days! I am thrilled for the two of them! I was able to drive down and help my bro try to find his get-up for the day. We made progress. They are busy busy getting everything in order for the big day. The wedding is going to be gorgeous! It’s going to be in the city…in the Fall…love! Our girls are the flower girls! (must find shoes for them…eeek!) I am the best “man”…ha. (must find gloves…eeek!)
-I mailed our first agency fee today so we can get started on our dossier soon. We have a good bit of home study docs completed and I am dropping them off with our home study social worker tomorrow. Woot!
-I just hung out with Dillon!!!! For real. Remember Dillon and where he was this time last year and this and my favorite ever…THIS?! Orange and I were just at his house. We played with him. I gave him a little squeezy hug. He is truly the cutest little boy. His parents and his siblings adore him. He is so very happy. Wow. Cannot wrap my brain around all of that. We are all so lucky to know him. Here is his mommy’s blog. She has been slightly busy and hasn’t been able to write much yet.
-I am really lucky to have the friends I have. So very. In so many ways. On-line. In person. Close-by. Far away. Never met. Known forever. All sorts of in between. I don’t know what I did to deserve the friends I have. I sometimes wonder if they are going to figure out that I am not worthy at all. Shhh, don’t tell them. I need them badly.
-My Ethiopian nephew is still in Ethiopia…hung up in processing delays. We are all pretty devastated, and just praying that this will work itself out soon. My BIL and SIL could use your prayers. Here is my SIL’s blog. She is an incredible blogger, but as you can imagine…it’s hard to blog when life gets extremely tough and confusing. Please go cheer her spirit on.
-Time to go write an updated biography about what our life has been like since bringing Orange home…this is for our new home study. I also need to pack Rosemary’s lunch. Which I always wait until morning to do and barely make it to her school in time. But their vegetarian options in the cafeteria have been less than stellar. Way less. And she likes her faux nuggets and faux corn-dogs and faux sandwich meat. Have I ever mentioned how MUCH I love this school though? Because I am big time in love with her elementary school. It’s diverse. It’s warm and friendly. It’s small. It’s academically strong. Swoon. Okay, seriously…must.write.bio.stat.
